Friday Links Roundup: Delta Fountain Edition

This weekend holds one of the highlights of my year. The annual Lads to Leaders national convention meets in several locations, including one just a couple of miles from our church building. It is an honor of mine to lead singing tonight at the Delta Fountain at 10:30. Usually around 2000 are present for the singing. Three of our young men from Lebanon Road will be reading Scripture as we go through the devotional period, and several members from Lebanon Road are planning on attending as well.

I just hope I don’t mess it up!

If you are in or around Nashville, it is worth your time (and a late night) to hear that many people sing in the midst of the Opryland Hotel under the glass ceiling. We hope to see you at 10:30 tonight!

On to the links for this week:

1. Have you ever thought about the fact that God believes certain things? Jeremiah Tatum gives us a good “starter” list of “What God Believes.”

2. I hate debt! It is wonderful to be debt free (except our mortgage) financially. Scott McCown shares with us another idea, though, in his post “Are You Covered in Debt?”

3. In our VBS this summer, we are going to take one night to think about Mephibosheth. Jeff Jenkins shares some wonderful thoughts on this lesser-known man in his article “A Place at the King’s Table.”

We hope you have a wonderful weekend. If you are around Nashville, we hope to see you at Lads to Leaders.

With many worshiping on Sunday, there is a great opportunity to show someone the love of Christ. Make sure you worship Him on His day.
