Friday Links Roundup: Special iPreach Edition

Dale Jenkins and I have enjoyed about 2 1/2 years of iPreach. We have discussed many topics, previewed (and reviewed) many events, and had a lot of fun. We do not know what our total “listenership” is, but we estimate it to be around 400 per episode.

Today, though, we are having a special podcast. It is one that we have had planned for some time. We are going to have a special roundtable of guests: preachers’ wives! This promises to be an informative and important episode as we learn from the ladies that are often not in the limelight, but who hold so many burdens and joys within their heart.

If you can’t listen live, you can find the program on theequipnetwork.com or on iTunes. It should be available in these places by early this afternoon.

On to the links for this week:

1. Countless predictions have been made as to when Christ might return. Steve Higginbotham takes a look at one of the most notable of our times. Enjoy “Coming Soon!” and make sure you read to the very end of the article, where Steve makes a great suggestion.

2. Jonathan Jones has had a couple of articles lately on truth. My favorite, and one that needs to be developed and preached, is “God Reveals Absolute Truth.”

3. Scott McCown shares a personal story to remind us that folks are looking at us to see if we really live what we teach. Take note of his story in “Someone is Watching.” (By the way, on a personal note, it was great to see Scott during my recent meeting at Blackwater-Macedonia. He led prayer at the Thursday night session. It’s always good to meet bloggers face-to-face, and to reconnect with old friends!)

4. This financial article is about as simple as it gets, but it cuts to the core of how to stay on top of what God has entrusted us with. ChristianPersonalFinance posted this guest article that I think you will like. It’s called “4 Fundamentals of Christian Financial Advice.”

We hope you  have a great weekend. No matter where you are, make sure you remember the Lord on His Day!
